Butterfly Garden

To mark World Children's Day on the 01st of October 2015 and in-keeping with the 'Go Green' campaign of the university, student representatives from all four batches (batches 4, 5, 6 and 7) organised the first phase of a 'Butterfly Garden' at the Child Development Centre in Ragama.
The 'Butterfly Garden' is a specifically identified and demarcated space within the outdoor area of the centre. It is hoped that the garden will attract and breed a variety of regional butterflies. Specific plants that are conducive to this purpose were planted by the undergraduate students together with all the children of the centre.
