Shilpa Sena Exhibition
The final year (Batches 07 and 08) students of the BSc (Hons) Speech and Hearing Sciences, specializing in Audiology together with the academic staff of the Department of Disability Studies, participated at the Shilpa Sena Exposition-Sri Lanka Technology Revolution from 18th to 21st July 2019 at the BMICH, Colombo.
The Ministry of Science, Technology & Research together with the National Research Council organized this exposition to minimize the distance between the fields of science, technology and research and the general public, and to bring the industry closer to them. The exposition was organized under 12 themes. Where the audiology stall was located within the Neurotechnology theme.
The audiology students and the staff of the Department of Disability Studies were invited to participate at this event by the Chairman of the National Research Council. The role of audiologists, hearing assessments, rehabilitative measures and noise exposure and hearing loss were the key areas addressed by the team from the Department of Disability Studies.
