APRIL

Guest Speech & Celebrating 'Aurudu'

 

Together with CBM and Wheels in Motion, we had the great privilege of a visit to the Faculty by Mr. Javed Abidi, Chairperson of Disabled People's International.

Mr. Abidi's inspiring talk was on 'Disability advocacy and mobilization in the Global South: Lessons from India and held on 01st of April '2014 in Main auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine, Ragama from 3.00pm to 5.00pm.

'Aurudu' celebration: With regard to Communication Project '2014, April was celebrated with its significant cultural event to celebrate Sinhala-Hindu New Year. The New Year festival was held on 22nd of April '2014 including many of the traditional and cultural events and rituals related to Sinhala-Hindu New Year with the participation of clients of DDS clinic and their families.
