JANUARY

Pen-Pal Scheme & Journal Club

To kick start the International Communication Project 2014, we began a discussion with Professor Barbara Shadden on linking our students with the Speech and Language Pathology students of the University of Arkansas in a 'Pen Pal' scheme. The aim is for students to create 'communication opportunities' via a blog space, Skype, letter writing etc. to share their professional culturally experiences 'beyond boarders' to help build stronger institutional, professional collaboration.

We also started a Journal Club with the final year students which aims to provide a space for students to critically evaluate the current evidence-base and gold standards for assessments and intervention for children and adults experiencing speech, language, fluency, swallowing and/or communication disabilities.
