Opening of SIM – A Space to Socialise, Interact, and Move
The Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, recently opened SIM (Socialise, Interact, Move), a dedicated open space for students to relax, connect, and recharge in a natural setting. This much-needed space provides students with an inviting environment for casual conversations and social interaction, helping to ease the stress of rigorous academic life.
In recognition of student requests for such a space, the opening ceremony was led by the past and present Presidents of the Medical Faculty Students’ Union, at the invitation of the Dean. The Dean, academic and executive staff, alumni, non-academic staff, and students attended the event.
More than just a place to gather, SIM adds aesthetic beauty to the Faculty grounds and reflects our commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.
