‘Navigating through the MBBS’
Alumni from Batch 28 of the Faculty of Medicine University of Kelaniya contributed to the first ‘Talks with the Alumni Program’ held on 5th February from 4.30 pm onwards at the Main Auditorium of the Faculty of Medicine.
The Career Guidance Unit invited the follow four graduates from the Faculty of Medicine for this session ‘Navigating thorough the MBBS’.

Dr Kavindra Pathirage - MBBS First Class Honours - Island Merit 6
Dr Taveesh Edussuriya - MBBS Second Class Honours - Island Merit 24
The celebrated alumni who excelled in their undergraduate careers with national and international level sports and other extracurricular activities spoke to the current undergraduate students on how to excel in studies and lead a balanced life. They responded to many questions regarding managing stress and time and their experience of studying effectively.
The talk was moderated by 4th year Medical Student from Batch 32 Mr Isuru Jayasekera and media support was provided by Aura Media.
The session was houseful and the majority of participants were 1st and 2nd years who had many questions for the celebrated panel of seniors. Students provided positive feedback on the sessions and requested for more similar events.
This is expected to be the first of many sessions of the ‘Talks with the Alumni Program’ spearheaded by Dr Lathika Athauda, Academic Counsellor, Career Guidance Unit of the Faculty of Medicine under the guidance of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Madawa Chandratilake.
