The Ministry of Public Health, Thailand invited Senior Prof. P. Anuruddhi S. Edirisinghe from the Department of Forensic Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, as a plenary speaker at the 25 th Anniversary Conference of the One-Stop Crisis Centre (OSCC). The conference was held at IMPAC Exhibition and Convention Centre, Bangkok from 6-8 th March 2024. The plenary symposium was titled as “Building Bridges of Care: A Cross-Regional Dialogue on Victim Support Services” where Prof Edirisinghe spoke about Sri Lankan multi-disciplinary responses.

Prior to the conference Prof Edirisinghe together with other international experts from Malaysia and Hong Kong visited the OSCC at Pathum Thani Shelter for Children and Families, Thailand as well as SAFE houses for both children and women. The experience sharing also involved a pre-congress session where Prof. Edirisinghe shared her expertise of management of child abuse in Sri Lanka with the social care workers in Thailand.
