Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya Welcomes the 37th Batch of MBBS Students
The Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, ceremonially welcomed its 37th batch of MBBS students at a prestigious inauguration ceremony held with the participation of both students and their parents.
The event was graced by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kelaniya, Senior Professor Nilanthi de Silva, and the Dean of the Faculty, Senior Professor Madawa Chandratilake, Guest Speaker Dr Ajith Arthanayake (Alumnus and Consultant Surgeon at CNTH), along with Heads of Academic Departments, academic staff members, executive officers, and non-academic staff.
The organising committee of the orientation programme, together with the students of the 36th batch of the MBBS programme, extended a warm and well-organised welcome to their new colleagues, making the occasion memorable for everyone present. It was a proud moment for the new entrants and their parents as they became part of one of the country’s leading medical faculties.
The Faculty warmly welcomes the new batch and wishes them every success in their academic journey. Students are encouraged to balance their studies with participation in sports and recreational activities, enriching their university experience.
