Kelaniya Medics triumphs in a general knowledge competition

A group of medical students from the University of Kelaniya emerged as champions in a quiz competition on general knowledge and the insurance industry organised by Union Assurance. This competition featured 76 teams nationwide from 18 state universities and private-sector higher education institutes. The quiz featured questions ranging from general knowledge, IQ, and the insurance industry. A team of five students from the Faculty of Medicine, Luvini Jayalath, Thishan Abeysekara, Flavia Gunarathna, Chethaka Senadheera, and Shafni Wazil, participated in the quiz.

 

The final round was held on the 9 March at the Hotel Galadari. The final two teams faced off against each other, with the University of Kelaniya emerging victorious, beating the team from Sir. John Kothalawela Defence University.
