The Wolbachia strain identification was performed in 32 mosquito and other insect species host belongs to five different insect orders (Order Diptera, Lepidoptera, Odonate, Orthoptera and Hemiptera) by using PCR amplification and sequencing of Wolbachia Surface Protein (wsp), 16S rRNA and Multi-Locus Sequence Typing (MLST) genes (gatB, coxA, hcpA, ftsZ and fbpA). A total of 688 (32 specimen x 7 primers x 3 specimens per species) + 18 CO I and CO II primer sequences) sequences were submitted to genebank.
