Telehealth services for children with neuro-developmental disabilities in the Asia-Pacific region: A systematic review

This study reviewed existing research on the use of telehealth services for children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) in the Asia-Pacific region. Telehealth became especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping families continue therapy and support when in-person services were limited. The review included studies involving children with conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, hearing impairment, and cleft lip and palate. Findings showed that telehealth-based, parent-led interventions can be effective and practical for supporting children and families. Overall, the study highlights telehealth as a promising and growing approach to delivering care for children with NDDs in the region.
