Dr. Marini Dinusha Fernando of Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya Won Gold Medal at the SLAYS International Conference 2019

Dr. K. Marini Dinusha Fernando, MBBS (Kelaniya), DCH (Colombo), M.Phil (Kelaniya), Won a gold medal at the “3-Minute Thesis Presentation Competition-3MT” of the 3^rd SLAYS open forum organized by Sri Lankan Academy of Young Scientists (SLAYS).

Dr. Dinusha was awarded the Gold Medal for her performances on Immunity Against Hepatitis B, Following Vaccination During Infancy at the SLAYS International Conference 2019, held at Hotel Taj Samudra on the 16^th of October, 2019.

Her M.Phil  research study in Paediatric Immunology directed for the award was conducted at the Molecular Medicine Unit, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya under the supervision of Prof. Priyantha Perera and Prof. Menaka Hapugoda. Prof. Aresha Manamperi, Molecular Medicine Unit has guided her for this award together with her supervisors.

The 3MT is a professional and highly engaging international research Communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ).
