25 Academics of Faculty of Medicine Receive President’s Awards for Scientific Research
Twenty-five academics from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, have been honored with the prestigious President's Awards for Scientific Research, recognizing their outstanding publications from 2019 and 2020. The President's Awards for Scientific Research, organized by the National Research Council, culminated on November 21, 2023, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo. This esteemed event celebrates the top 100 research papers published in journals with the highest Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR), where at least 20% of the authors are Sri Lankan scientists with a Sri Lankan institutional affiliation.
Out of the 598 awards bestowed upon 485 scientists, the following academic staff members were recognized for their groundbreaking scientific contributions during 2019 and 2020.
