කාලෝ රචිත ගී .......වෙද සිසු හඬින්..........

As the finale event of the 30th Anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine, a musical show was organized by the Faculty members to showcase the musical talents of the past and present students of the Faculty in an effort to enhance their talents while paying tribute to the humanistic life of the founder Dean, Prof. Carlo Fonseka, especially remembering his musical talents by organizing “Carlo Raehitha Gee, Weda Sisu Hadin”, on 25th March (Friday) 2022 from 6.00 p.m. at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya. This event was organized by the Cultural Centre of the Faculty, along with the present and past students.
The musical show, “Carlo Rachitha Gee, Weda Sisu Hadin” consisted of popular songs written and composed by Prof. Carlo Fonseka. These songs were sung by the students of the Faculty of Medicine with the participation of the original renowned artists such as Visharada Edward Jayakody, Visharada Sunil Edirisinghe, and Ms. Subhani Amaradeva (on behalf of Pandith Amaradeva), who came up to the stage to share their experiences and memories of Prof. Carlo Fonseka. Prof. Sunil Ariyaratne delivered a critique on Prof. Fonseka’s work. The past and present students of the Faculty showcased their musical talents through some of their original creations as well.
