SLCPR - SRI LANKA CEREBRAL PALSY REGISTER

About Us

About the Sri Lankan Cerebral Palsy Register (SLCPR)

The Sri Lankan Cerebral Palsy Register (SLCPR) is a confidential database that collects detailed clinical and demographic information about individuals with cerebral palsy (CP). This information is de-identified to ensure privacy and is used to better understand the condition and its impact in Sri Lanka.

SLCPR was established in 2018 by the Department of Disability Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, in partnership with the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Australia and the CP Lanka Foundation. It was initially launched as a hospital-based prospective study. Over the years, the SLCPR has evolved into a more comprehensive and detailed programme.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to expand the SLCPR into a nationwide database while establishing a systematic approach for monitoring and surveillance of cerebral palsy within the Sri Lankan population. We promote research to enhance understanding and care for individuals with CP across Sri Lanka.
