Ayati Sports Club Cricket Carnival: A Celebration of Ability and Inclusiveness

On July 27th, Ayati Sports Club, in collaboration with Hemas Outreach Foundation, hosted a memorable Cricket Carnival for children, adolescents, and young adults with disabilities. Teams from the Meril J Fernando Charitable Foundation, Kosala Dullewa Foundation, Preethipura Communities, and two teams from Ayati Sports Club participated in this inclusive event.

We were honoured to have former Sri Lanka National Team Left Arm Fast Bowler, Mr. Thilina Thushara Mirando, as our Chief Guest. His presence added grandeur to the medal-awarding ceremony.

This event would not have been possible without the incredible support of volunteers from Ayati, Standard Chartered Bank, and Hemas Group, who dedicated their time to organize and practice with our participants. Special thanks to our dedicated sports coach, Mr. Janaka, whose unwavering volunteerism and passion for coaching have inspired and nurtured our athletes.

The day was a shining example of sportsmanship, volunteerism, and inclusiveness. It showcased the abilities and dreams shared by all human beings, regardless of their challenges.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this day a success, demonstrating that with dedication and support, we can create a more inclusive and joyful world for all.
