A hybrid case-based session on the basics of gait patterns and analysis
On 23rd July 2024, Dr. Gaj Panagoda conducted a hybrid case-based session on the basics of gait patterns and analysis at Ayati. Dr. Panagoda, a dual-qualified pediatric rehabilitation physician and General Pediatrician, is an adjunct associate professor at the University of Queensland and board director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand. The session, attended by pediatricians, physicians, and allied health clinicians working with children with neuromotor disorders, aimed to discuss normal and abnormal gait patterns, understand the framework of gait analysis with a focus on the ICF-based approach, and explore intervention principles. Dr. Panagoda's experience includes consulting at Queensland Children's Hospital, leading pediatric medical services for an Aboriginal health organization, and currently serving as CEO of Xstitch Health.
