After the internship, some graduates decide to migrate to foreign countries to seek employment. Most other countries recognize the MBBS degree from the University of Kelaniya. However, medical graduates are generally required to pass an aptitude test (eg: PLAB) and a language test (E.G. IELTS) before obtaining the full license to practice medicine in a foreign country.
