Medical graduates who excel in their studies and graduate with First or Second Class honours may apply to join a Sri Lankan University as a Lecturer (Probationary). Vacancies are advertised by the respective universities as and when they arise. Within the University system, medical graduates can progress in their chosen discipline and have the opportunity to become Senior Lecturers, Associate Professors, and Professors.
