An informative session on "Common Venomous snakes in Sri Lanka" was organized by the Green Society, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya on the 23rd of August 2023 at the faculty main Auditorium.

Guest speaker Herpetologist, Naturalist, and Experiences and Sustainability lead of Jetwinv Vil Uyana, *Yesitha Rodrigo* raised awareness on recognizing harmless snakes from deadly venomous snakes including after-effects from snake bites and its medical importance.

Participants were given the chance to observe live specimens of Snakes at the end of the session.
