“Ayubowewa” Rupavahini Educational Programme Series
As a part of public image-building activities and dissemination of health messages to the public during the 30th Anniversary, the Celebration committee embarked on showcasing faculty academia in health promotions of the National Television Rupawahini. Dr. Samitha Prasanna Arachcige, an alumnus and TV presenter of the Health programme “Ayubowewa” Coordinated the event. The health messages were shot at the faculty premises and the following academics appeared in the programme which was telecasted over several months.

Health Education Publication
As one of the main public educational activities of the 30th Anniversary Celebration committee published two books titled “Weda Vidu Danumai-Suwabara Deviyai II” and “ Hademu Wademu Suwen Sitimu” in Sinhala Language for adults and school children. The book covered many topics related to the COVID pandemic as well as important medical and psychosocial aspects of healthy living. Academic in the faculty contributed to this publication while Sinhala Language expert Prof. Dalabandara attended to language corrections. The cover page and inside artworks were done by students of the faculty. This activity was Co-chaired by Prof. Nirmala Perera and Dr Lakmini Wijesuriya. The Alumni’s Association and the faculty-sponsored the printing.
