The 30th anniversary celebrations of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya was successfully launched on the 5th of April at the Main auditorium.
The event began with a tree planting programme organised by the Green practise committee followed by a photography exhibition based on the WHO theme of 'building a fairer and healthier world'.
The official website for the 30th anniversary was also launched. The celebrations were further made colourful by the talents of the students.
The event was graced by Snr. Prof Nilanthi De silva Vice chancellor University of Kelaniya, Dr.Olivia Corazon acting country representative World Health Organization, Prof S.J.de S. Hewavisenthi Dean Faculty of Medicine University of Kelaniya.
