OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CLINIC
This clinic provides interventional strategies for helping children cope with and overcome their disabilities. Occupational therapists analyse the child’s functional performance to identify the child’s strengths and limitations.
SERVICES
Occupational therapist as a clinician involves in a multi-disciplinary team to assess new born infants at high risk development delays. A screening process will follow up with planning and interventions for further assessments. Ongoing therapy programmes such as sensory motor stimulation through play based activities, parenting and nurturing care, correct positioning and handling on new born with proper follow up evaluation protocols are offered in this clinic. Services are being offered for kids diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, other neurodevelopmental disorders and sensory processing disorders. As a team member treat for kids with cortico visual impairments and kids with other sensory defensiveness. This clinic carry out following Assessments such as GMs ( General Movements assessments) COPM (Canadian Model of Occupational Performance) , SHUEE ( Shriners Hospital Upper Extremity Evaluation), fine motor observational checklist, learning disability checklist, play skills, pre writing and hand writing skills and self-care activities of daily living for cerebral palsy and other young disabled children.
