- Academic Staff of the Department of Anatomy has been participated at the College of Surgeon workshop held on 21.02.2015.
- The article on "A study on prolactin abnormalities and male factor infertility using experimentally induced hyperprolactinaemia and hypoprolactinaemia in male rats" by Dr. R. Hasan, has been published in Sri Lanka Journal of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism volume 4 No 2. August 2014.
- Research council of the Department of Anatomy was inaugurated by Dr. Rizvi Hasan, Senior Lecturer (Grade I) Head, Department of Anatomy on 11.03.2015. The 1st meeting of this research council was held in the Postgraduate Laboratory of the Department of Anatomy. Professor L.S.S. Salgado, Dr. Prasadth Fernando were nominated as Chairperson and Deputy Chairman respectively.

- Dr. Prasadth Fernando, Senior Lecturer, Department of Anatomy, awarded Vice Chancellor's award for bringing honour to the University by winning prestigious national award in year 2014.
- Dr. Vasitha Abeysuriya, Lecturer, Department of Anatomy, awarded Vice Chancellor's award for bringing honour to the University by winning prestigious national award in year 2014.
- Mr. H.P. Sunil, Laboratory Attendant, (Special Grade), Department of Anatomy, was received special award from the University of Kelaniya, for his forty years of service.
