Title page should be at the beginning of the abstract.

Title of the paper:  Times New Roman, 14 bold face, regular sentence case letters, centered

1. The title should reflect the area of study. 
2. If scientific names are included, they should be written in italics (lower case), and common or vernacular names should be included within parenthesis.

Names of the author (s):  Times New Roman, 12, regular letters and centered.

1. The surname should be followed by the initials (e.g.: Ranathunge, R.M.T.B.). 
2. The corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk (*) at the end of the name.
3. The presenting author’s name should be underlined.

Author affiliations: Times New Roman, 11, regular italics, centered

1. If the authors are from several institutes/departments, they should be numbered using a superscript at the end of the name of each author and the numbers should be corresponded to the institutional address of the respective authors. 

Email address of the corresponding author: Times New Roman, 11, regular italics, centered

1. Corresponding author’s email address should be prefixed by an asterisk (*)
2. e.g., *This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Length of the extended abstract should not exceed four (04) pages (Excluding the Title Page).In the event of exceeding four pages, the editors reserve the right to reject the extended abstract. The abstract should be organized as follows:

1. Title
2. Background
3. Methods
4. Results
5. Conclusions
6. References
7. Acknowledgment 

Abbreviations and Acronyms: 

1. Should be written in full text followed by the abbreviation in parenthesis, at the very first time of their appearance.
2. e.g. Medical Officer of Health (MOH) 

Standard Units:

1. SI Units should be always used. 
2. Leave one letter space between the numerical value and the unit (e.g. 5 cm).
