KELANIYA MEDICAL FACULTY PHOTOGRAPHY SOCIETY ( KMFPS )
KMFPS established in 2015 with the primary objective of discovering and developing the creative ability of photography of students, on- academics, academics and alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya is a unique society, where all sectors of the faculty come together. Further, it is a niche to create a common platform to improve the artistic and scientific photography skills while encouraging and fostering cultural and social harmony of working together. The membership consists of two categories i.e. members and associate members. Members are from registered student community of the Faculty of Medicine while associate membership is for academic, nonacademic and alumni of the Faculty.
The coordinating authority of the society is the Cultural Center of the of the Faculty of Medicine, and the society organizes field trips, the photographic recording of student activates/faculty events, annual photographic exhibition etc. Further, weekly best photographs are displayed at the faculty electronic notice board.
