The Kelaniya Medical School Alumni Association (KEMSAA), which was formed in 1999, has in its membership, graduates and academic staff of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya.

The objectives of KEMSSA are as follows:

• To encourage, foster and promote close relations between the faculty and its alumni and among the alumni themselves.
• To promote in the alumni body, an interest in the affairs and well-being of the faculty.
• To serve as the medium through which alumni may support and advance the pursuit of academic excellence at the Faculty.
• To guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their course of study in the Faculty, in obtaining employment and in engaging in productive pursuits useful to the society.

All medical graduates of the University of Kelaniya are welcome to join KEMSAA.
