The Apprentice is a groundbreaking concept, strengthening the bond between the Department of Surgery, University  of Kelaniya and her students.

Built on the basis of promoting research and work ethic among medical students, the Apprentice has proven to be much more than just a journal. It is becoming a portal of knowledge exploring newel methods of teaching and learning.

The Apprentice journal publishes articles under broad range of categories allowing the students to read and write on a wide scope.

The aim of The Apprentice Is to be the country’s top source for high quality student related medical research. In addition, The Apprentice seeks to be a platform for medical students to share their scientific experiences and views, while upholding standards that adhere to the process of scientific publication. Unlike traditional journals, The Apprentice uses social media platforms to reach a wider group of students.
