At present the department teaches both first and second year medical undergraduates during the basic science course. In total around 380 students follow the first and second year course where the normal structure and function of the human body is taught. The undergraduate curriculum in Physiology is covered in 5 terms consisting of 12 modules (10 system based modules, IT and English). The teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, problem based learning sessions, practical classes and oral and poster presentations.
