Cardiomyopathy and Myocarditis

 At the end of this lecture the students should be able to :

  • Classify the myocarditis on an aetiopathological basis
  • Briefly describe the aetiological agents and morphology of viral myocarditis, suppurative myocarditis and toxic myocarditis.
  • Classify the cardiomyopathies
  • Identify the morphological features of heart in dilated, hypertrophic and restrictive cardiomyopathies
