From 2004 the faculty has adopted an organ-system based integrated curriculum. Pathology is incorporated into the system based teaching of phase 11 of the curriculum of the third and fourth years. Principles of general pathology and tumour pathology are taught in the first term while the systemic pathology is incorporated into the relevant system modules which extend over 5 terms. There are 6 continuous assessments and 2 main exams, Unit 3 and Unit 4. Pathology is assessed by MCQs, SBAs, SEQs and OSPEs.
