PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC

This clinic offers services to children up to 18 years. Infants and newborns with early intervention and at risk of development delay, children with gross motor developmental concerns, neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy and Down’s syndrome are more commonly seen in this clinic.

 

SERVICES

All children referred for physiotherapy intervention undergo standard and specific gross motor physiotherapy functional assessments based on best available evidences. Including the physiotherapist, child will be assessed by a multidisciplinary team at the first visit in order to fulfill a holistic approach for further continuation of treatments and protocols. Also as clinicians who involves in the team to assess an infant at risk of development delays offers services such as correct handing positioning and nurturing care as a team. This clinic offers follow up physiotherapy interventions including assessments such as GMs (general movement assessments) GMFM (Gross Motor Function Measure), HINE (Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination), AIMS (Alberta Infant Motor Scale). Moreover specified protocols are maintained on hip surveillance assessments which are an important component of this clinic. With the collaboration of consultants and specialists Botox administration is offered methodically, where records are maintained such as pre botox and post botox for further assessments. A standard gait lab is provided for children for gait training and for further assessments with a trained staff. The clinic aims to approach a multidisciplinary intervention accompanied with consultants, specialists, parents and caregivers.
