Workshop on “Multidisciplinary approach to Stroke Rehabilitation” at- District Hospital, Dickoya
A workshop on Multidisciplinary approach to Stroke Rehabilitation was conducted by the Ragama Stroke Unit at the District Hospital, Dickoya on 13th October 2018.
There were over 100 participants from all categories of health staff from the District Hospital, Dickoya and the neighbouring hospitals of PGH Nuwara Eliya, PGH Nawalapitiya, DH Kotagala, DH Bogawanthalawa and DH Maskeliya.
The workshop was conducted by the Stroke Unit of the Colombo North Teaching Hospital, Ragama, in collaboration with the Dickoya Clinical Society and the National Stroke Association of Sri Lanka, to mark the World Stroke Day 2018. There were 18 resource person from the Stroke Unit, Colombo North Teaching Hospital, Ragama, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Hospital, Ragama and Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya. Participants were given training in medical care, nursing care, physiotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and mental health support for stroke patients.
