A.C.E. Koch Oration
Dr. Deepthi De Silva, Senior lecturer of the department of Physiology delivered the 2016 A C E Koch oration with the theme ”Exploring the complexities of congenital heart disease” on the 26th November 2016 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.
The Physiological society of Sri Lanka (PSSL) organizes the annual A C E Koch memorial Oration to commemorate the life and work of Prof. Arthur Cecil Elsely Koch, the first Ceylonese Professor of Physiology. He was the chair of Physiology at the faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo from 1952 until his retirement in 1968.
The invited oration was in parallel with the annual scientific sessions of the PSSL and was attended by participants representing all the departments of Physiology in Sri Lanka and invited guests.
