The Annual Scientific Sessions 2018 of the Physiological Society of Sri Lanka

The annual Scientific sessions 2018 of the Physiological Society of Sri Lanka was held on the 16th and 17th of November 2018 at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Sri Jayewardenepura. More than 100 physiologists and students from the state universities participated at the event.

Ms. Pavith Lakmini Perera (3rd year student) of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya won the 1st place at the Physart competition which was open to all the undergraduate students of universities.

The best oral presentation was won for the research ‘Gastric motility and cardiovascular autonomic function in trained athletes: A prospective case control study’ by Dr.Tania Warnakulasuriya, Dr. Dunya Luke, Prof. Aranjan L. Karunanayaka and Prof.Niranga M. Devanarayana of the faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya.
