World Hypertension Day – 2024; Blood Pressure Screening Program For Public
In commemoration of World Hypertension Day – 2024, the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya conducted a successful Blood pressure screening campaign for the public in collaboration with Sri Lanka Hypertension Society, Non-communicable Diseases Directorate of the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka and the May Measurement Month Global Program on 17th May 2024 at Ragama town.This project aimed to identify and refer people with undiagnosed or uncontrolled hypertension for medical care.
World Hypertension Day – 2024; Update On Blood Pressure management for doctors.
Professor C. Mettananda of the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya conducted an Update on blood pressure management at the Colombo North Clinical Society and was webcast to Medical Officers (Non-communicable Diseases) throughout the country in collaboration with Non-communicable diseases Directorate of the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka on 15th May 2024. The main aim of this event was to update medical officers on the latest guidelines in the management of hypertension and to minimize physician inertia in blood pressure control.
