Diploma in Paramedical Sciences for Emergency Medical Technicians Conducted by the Department of Pharmacology.

Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, was officially invited to offer this course to its new recruiting staff by the 'Suwa Seriya' emergency ambulance service, which is one of the most efficient ambulance services at a global level.

This course recruits 30 students per cycle.

Candidates who complete the diploma will be recruited by the 'Suwa Seriya' ambulance service for their permanent career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

EMTs with this diploma provide emergency care in the pre-hospital setting, which is a vital link in our healthcare system until the patient is handed over to an established healthcare facility in the country. The course will contribute to saving people's lives in Sri Lanka
