1. Differentiate between male and female mosquitoes by examining the antennae
2. Identify anopheline and culicine adults by examining the antennae and the mouthparts using a hand lens or microscope.
3. Recognize mosquito eggs, differentiating between those of Anopheles, Culex , Aedes and Mansonia spp. using a microscope.
4. Recognize mosquito larvae and pupae differentiating between anopheline and culicine larvae.
5. Identify larvae of Anopheles, Culex , Aedes and Mansonia.
6. Identify an adult mosquito of  Anopheles, Culex , Aedes and Mansonia spp.
