Professor Nayana Gunathilaka won the Young Scientist Award for Research-2022
Professor Nayana Gunathilaka, Professor at the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya has won the “Young Scientist Award for Research 2022” offered by the National Science and Technology Commission of Sri Lanka. This is a life-time award offered by the Young Scientist forum of the National Science and Technology Commission of Sri Lanka in recognition of excellence in conducting high-quality Research and publishing in Science Citation Indexed Journals, Academic accomplishment, leadership, research supervision, and national service. This counts to his 3rd life-time award in recognition of conducting high quality research. This was awarded at a ceremony held on 24th March, 2023 at the Water’s Edge Hotel, Battaramulla. He is a recipient of the “CVCD Excellence Award 2020 for the Most Outstanding Young Researcher” offered by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors, Sri Lanka and “Young Scientist Award- 2022” presented by the Institute of Biology, Sri Lanka.
