External Research Scholar visits the Department of Parasitology
Prof. Yoshito Fuji, Associate Professor attached to the Department of Host-Defense Biochemistry, Institute of Tropical Medicine, Nagasaki University, Japan visited the Department of Parasitology as a visiting scholar for 2 weeks duration (28th August to 08th September,2017). During his stay he will conduct a training programme on the detection of parasitological diseases using molecular based methods to the staff members and research students at the Department of Parasitology. The aim of this training programme is to establish Molecular based detection protocols for Parasitology and Medical Entomology Research.
Dr. Nayana Gunathilaka, training programme Coordinator Welcomed Prof. Fuji at the opening ceremony held at the Parasitology Laboratory on 28th of August 2017. Members including academics, non-academics and research students at the Department of Parasitology were participated in this occasion. Training sessions were started after the official proceedings.
