Skin prick test

The Skin Prick Test is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure used to determine specific allergens that may be triggering skin-related symptoms. This simple yet highly effective test involves introducing a small amount of allergenic extracts into the superficial layers of your skin to observe how your body reacts. This Test provides results within 15-20 minutes, allowing for swift identification of potential allergens.

Such as
  • Food allergy
  • Drug allergy
  • Aero allergens
  • ABPA (allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis)
Procedure:

  1. Allergen Application: A tiny amount of suspected allergens, such as pollen, pet dander, dilution of the drugs, or food extracts, is applied to your skin's surface.
  2. Pricking the Skin: A small, painless prick or scratch is made through each applied drop, allowing the allergen to enter the skin.
  3. Observation: We closely monitor the skin's reaction for signs of redness, swelling, or a raised bump, indicating a positive response to a particular allergen.
