Faculty of Medicine Excellence Awards 2019/2020
The fourth annual Faculty of Medicine Excellence Awards ceremony was held on Wednesday 10th February 2021. The ceremony included Dean’s List awards to recognize outstanding academic performance among students, Faculty Awards for students to recognize outstanding performances in academic and extra-curricular activities and Teaching Excellence Awards to recognize excellence in teaching scholarship. Newly added Faculty Excellence Awards for Non-Academic Staff were also presented at this year’s ceremony.
Senior Professor Nilanthi De Silva Vice Chancellor, University of Kelaniya graced the ceremony as chief guest and the event was held adhering to COVID-19 health guidelines. Prof Janaki Hewavisenthi, Dean, Faculty of Medicine joined the Vice Chancellor to felicitate the winners. The outstanding performances of 25 teachers, 55 students from both the MBBS and BSc Speech and Hearing Sciences and 03 nonacademic staff members were recognized at this prestigious ceremony.
